	Background Information about Tigray National State   Tigray is one of the Regional National States of Ethiopia found in the most northern tip. It is bordered by Eritrea, Sudan, Afar Regional National state, Amhara Regional National state from the north, west, east and south respectively. The Regional National state of Tigray has five administrative zones. Zones are divided into five for the purpose of administration. They are the Southern zone, the Eastern zone, the Central zone, the Western zone and Mekelle special zone. Mekelle is as explained above one of the five administrative zones in the Tigray Regional National State. The total Population of Tigray State is 4.355 million.

Language: Tigrigna is the official language of the region. Erobgna, Kunamgna, Amharic & English are also spoken
